Instructions for presenters

Oral presentations:

  • Presenters should appear in the room ~10 minutes before the start of the session to:

1) upload the presentation slides to the main computer

(there will be a support person for that) and

2) introduce themselves to the session chair.

  • Time slots for oral presentations are of 30 minutes, including questions and change of speaker, i.e., plan a talk of ~25 min. and leave ~5min. for questions and transition.

Poster presentations:

  • Poster boards will be tagged with poster identifiers, making it possible for presenters to locate the specific board reserved for their poster.
  • Poster boards measure 142cm (56") across by 116 (46") in height. By comparison, an A0-sized poster measures 84cm (33") across by 119cm (47") in height so if you use A0 you might want to orient the material for landscape. Posters should be printed in high resolution.
  • Presenters should verify that the information on the posters is legible from a distance of at least 1 metre. Tape and tacks will be made available on site by volunteers, who may also assist in putting up the posters.
  • The poster sessions are scheduled to coincide with coffee breaks, and presenters are encouraged to put up their posters well beforehand, so that people can start looking at posters as soon as they start the coffee break.
