Abstract

The massive amounts of multilingual information available motivate the extension of monolingual research to cross-lingual. This tutorial covers translation techniques used in several cross-language topics such as cross-language knowledge extraction or opinion mining, focusing on the use of semantic resources or contextual information for machine translation. Taking opinion mining as example, it also details tasks such as cross-language subjectivity or sentiment classification, cross-language entity extraction and clustering or cross-language co-reference resolution.
